stupidity hall of fame nominee amola: ok......this is really more humorous (to me) than it is a vent....but it could also be a vent.......
my ex called me the other day and asked me if i had any extra crib sheets. our son has been sleeping in a porta-crib type thing over there, so he didn't have any "real" crib sheets for him. now that they are moving back into the house that we rented while we were together, he has acquired a real crib. i told him yeah, i have about 10 sheets that are really just taking up space, so he could have a few of them. no big deal. i was feeling nice that day.
he called me yesterday and asked me what size the mattress in the crib is. i told him that it was just a standard crib mattress, but i humored him and found the tag with the actual measurements on it and read them off to him. seems that the crib that he "spent 4 hours on, painting and putting together" is too small for a standard mattress! i was really laughing my a$$ off at him at this point because if i was buying a crib, i'd make d@mned sure that it was the right size before i put it together and/or spent the money on a mattress.
so when i talked to him today, he was telling me that he's going to have to go get a normal crib but he has to find one cheap (i gave him some ideas of second-hand places to try) and then he might still need a few sheets. told him fine, just let me know.....
***enter stupidity***
then he tells me.....that the girls might mention something about having a television in their room. seems that the satellite guy was out yesterday to reinstall the system, and he got a good deal on a second receiver so he had one put in the girls' room.
i didn't think much about this at first....then it dawned on me.......
1. you didn't have money for a crib, so you got this one for free (probably from your sister)
2. you bought a new crib mattress
3. you had satellite installed and got a second receiver for the girls
seems to me that since he figured out that he was going to have to buy a new crib BEFORE the satellite was installed, that he would put off the television and gotten the crib first. but then again, it just goes to show where his priorities are.......... ::)

Re:stupidity hall of fame nominee Debbisea: I don't see this as stupidity. I see this as a typical moron's behavior. Obviously he has no working knowledge of children. What a shame. Well at least he has cable in the kid's rooms that way they can watch NANNIE 911 instead of calling you. ;D
