Being Silly i_sing_alone: I have a 4 yr old daughter and for the past two days we have been just plain silly.
First, we sang everything we had to say in the most high-pitched opera voice and tried to make things rhyme as we sang...
Then yesterday we ended up "dancing" in the car (my mom was driving) to some old disco music on a weird radio station we found. My 5-yr-old nephew was with us as well. We all ended up with hiccups from laughing so hard at each other's made up dances- and of couse we were all wearing seatbelts/in carseats. The other people in traffic must have thought we'd lost our minds! ;D
I can find humor in just about anything, and find that it totally helps me feel better about life!
Besides, it's so fun to just be silly with kids! (And a good excuse :P)
Re:Being Silly allmixedup: I love silliness with my son. Kids are wonderful when you are going through something so hard because no matter how bad things get they can always put a smile on your face. :D
Re:Being Silly Shanna: I love to get my son to snap along to the music and stuff and dance in the car....Kyle even started kinda dancing a little with us!!!
It is so much fun!!
Every night we dance around in the kitchen with the radio up to loud. I just turn the music on and my babies come running to dance with me....of course I can't dance, but I can look like a total fool with them and they love it!! :D
Re:Being Silly tyrogers: Sounds like me and my two. Trey's favorite song right now is Mr. Lonely by Akon. I downloaded it and we sit here and sing it like crazy in our most high pitched voices when that part comes on. My 2 yr. old Maddie sings it too!!!! Of course, we all dance to it. I actually do really well with the dancing part. I am trying to teach Trey to really dance now. After all, he needs to know how to 'work it' for the ladies as he gets older! I don't want him to be the 'white boy' everyone makes fun of!!! LMAO!!!!!

Re:Being Silly AmyMarie1972: Well at least I am normal now. We have our very own disco going in the kitchen every other day which is great. Me and the kids dancing around with the music right up. During the summer we take it out to the garden and all the neighbours kids all join in.
The ex used to get embarrased by that one. Suppose that shows just how miserable he really was.
