The wave crashes over me, rocking me backwards...
I catch my breath, close my eyes briefly
It is a mimic of the scene behind my eyes,
your head thrown back... your body tense
The wave travels my body
the memory
the heat
I try to regain my footing
come back to earth
The power of the waves overcome me
Caught unaware, hope no one noticed
The waves of memory
