Re:Feeling the fear CPmommy: Let's hope, TWG.
Thanks, you guys. I'm always the one to put on the strong, independent, "I don't need your help" face.....so when I realize that I may very well need help, it bothers me.
Thanks for the laughs, MTMO - I saw your screen name and laughed out loud. Too funny!
And, Kin, I promise, if I ever get a chance to be around you again, I will refrain from hitting you in the face! ;D
You guys rock! (And bang! - where is TWGCH, by the way?)
Re:Feeling the fear DarrenB: If it's any consolation, here I am 2 months after my divorce became final and I still get the fears and worries. Lostteacher is SOOO right! We get so used to how are lives are, were and was...that the thought of change and starting over scares us all to death. None of us wanted or expected this when we got married, had kids, bought homes, etc......
Hang in there TWGIH. All will get better and it's not going to be rainy and gloomy forever. :) :) :)
Re:Feeling the fear Sad Eyes: CP~ I know EXACTLY what you are feeling! It hit me the other day really hard!!! I thought the same thing...I am really doing...I am getting a divorce and like you I am the one asking for it because like you....I woke up too! They had it handed to them on a silver platter and never gave in return. We gave them years so please don't feel bad that you want better. I find myself still feeling guilty and taking the blame for everything! I mean Everything!!! That isn't right! If I could kick myself in the arse I would!!! But all I can do is look at things for what they are. You are doing the same thing too. We are not in a good place right now and it's affecting us and our precious children. We can't wait forever for them to get it together while the world just passes us by. I have gave him years to get it together SO....now it's sink or swim and we're swimming!!! :)
Thinking about you and wishing you all the best!!!!

P.S. I am REALLY afraid too! BUT I am more afraid of staying and accepting things the way they have been.

It's okay to just feel and let yourself BE where you are at today. There is no way around it, you have to just go through it.
