Vent, not relationship based
.

Vent, not relationship based box of rain: AAAAAAAAAAuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh. Even my family is crazy!!! Passover starts the 23 of this month. I'm a non-practicing jew, and my stbxw is a non-practicing chrishtian of some sort with some pagan mixed in. Anyway, passover is one of the few holidays I try to take seriously, but my mother went and planned it on a day I'm working because my sister who lives a couple hours away, and all her friends, are available. Over the past few years they have taken the dinner from a holiday to a reason to get drunk on kosher wine and eat turkey, basically a fallicy(sp) of what it is. I'm not really religious, but it is interesting to me, and I'd like my son to get to see my side of religious backround. I was just told by my mother she needs her folding chairs back (one that I have is a makeshift high chair for my son untill I get a proper dinette set) back for passover, so I ask her why, she says, it's passover, but you work that day. I work in a hospital, 12 hour shifts, so I can't rearrange my schedule easily, but I only work three days a week. One would think that they could have taken me into consideration when planning this. Not like we ever do the dinner on the first night anyways due to everyones schedule. So much for the family worrying about the guy who just had his whole existence flipped over!!!!!!!!
Re:Vent, not relationship based LettinGo: Hi rain ...

Sorry about this. Is it possible that your family is assuming that you don't care because you have bigger things going on in your life with the divorce, rather than bother you about it? Just a thought ...

Did you tell your mother you were upset about her choice of day?

Hugs, Kelly
