How many of us have mostly friends that are married/in long term relationships?
How many of us have mostly friends who are single?
Same questions about your ex...
Now, do you think this had any impact on the relationship at all?
Most of my friends are couples and ex had ONLY friends who were single or cheaters. I think this probably affected his outlook on relationships, but wasn't the determining factor in why he is the way he is. I just find it interesting...
Re:couple friends/single friends? netty_girl: All of my tbxh's friends are single and are between 18-21. These are the people he works with, and he ditched his friends that were his own age. I do think that these people (one inperticular) had a huge impact on our relationship. He even told me that these guys were funner to hang out with, and that the playing poker and drinking every night is what he wanted to do, not have a family. :'(
I was forced away from my friends by my husband, but have recently gotten in touch with a couple of them, and just found out that one is about to have a baby, and the other is getting divorced also.

Re:couple friends/single friends? jillieb44: All of our friends (his and mine) were married couples...as far as I know the ex wasn't cheating, but even that wouldn't surprise me, given the circumstances.

My friends were other military couples.
He actually "hooked up" with my friend that was married. YUCK
