Bittersweet... wakepner: My divorce will be final as early as this Friday. In CA we have a 6 month (and a day) waiting period from the the other was served. Time is up on Friday. I have been waiting for this day to have closure for all the pain he has caused me...
But...I realize that it is over and over for good. I will no longer be someone's wife and no longer have to say "I am getting a divorce."
I am happy one moment, sad the next...

Try to take it easy and do something nice for yourself.. No you will no longer have the "title" of someones wife.. but you will always have the "title" of YOU.. and that is the MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL... yes this is the end of something, but you never know what joy life holds in store.. I certainly didnt the day I got divorced. This is the beginning of a brand new journey.. and you will be just fine ;D Hang in there!

It is funny, because the state of CA stinks in so many ways, it also takes another 4-8 weeks to find out if you are officially divorced. So in 4-8 weeks I will receive the paperwork saying exactly what date my divorce was final. Anti-climatic. Oh well...
