I wish I could open my eyes
and see you smile at me
I wish I could be your love
and be who you want me to be
I wish I could stop dreaming
and fill up the void inside
I wish I could numb these feelings
I wish I could clear my mind
I wish that hopes were granted
and I wish that dreams came true
I wish for my heart's redemption
and I wish I was forgiven by you.

We all make mistakes in life and we all suffer from them. This was written for someone who touched my heart during the most difficult time in my life, when I was broken and not myself. This is part of the many apologies and recoveries that I have experienced and am experiencing, and another step towards my own redemption.
