Do you hate Sundays too?
.

Do you hate Sundays too? rmcdermid: I dread Sundays. Sundays were our day to go out and do something, Sundays were our day to cook a dinner together. Since he left I don't think I have cooked once, it's just too hard, too many memories of Sunday dinners together. I can't go to our normal grocery store, movie store, take out place, gym, etc etc...it's just too hard right now. I tried going to our grocery store a week ago and tears started streaming down my face, and people probably thought I was a nut case. Sundays are absolutely horrible...I am still in my pyjamas and I know I should get out and get my mind off this stuff, but it's hard!!
Re:Do you hate Sundays too? Chey: I hear ya..the lonliest day of the week I think.

How about you just keep posting, trying to see if there are others here you can help out, and we'll forget all about it being a Sunday? :)

Re:Do you hate Sundays too? clambakesX: Yeah, I hear you.

I've been running 10Ks here and there, about half seem to be on Sundays.

I know it's really hard to create your own new weekend traditions ... is there anything you always wanted to try but never got around to? I don't know how it is where you live, can you find a new grocery store etc?

Can you get a pair of fabulous PJs he's never seen, for those Sundays when you just don't leave the house at all?
Re:Do you hate Sundays too? soTiredOfHurting: Any times spent with our selves not doing something can be a bad time. When we are unoccupied we are left with our thoughts, and depending where you are at letting go and moving on, these thoughts will turn to our former significant others.

I went on a trip this weekend to see my sons from my first marriage. I was in the car for 11 hours. All that time to be in my head and replay events, remeber things said and make up all kinds of things that could happen or did happen. It turned out to be not a very good time when my thoughts went there.

It didn't help when I got a voice mail from her asking one of her many stupidest questions that I have ever heard. Since I have stopped wanting to have anything to do with her she has become the queen of really dumb questions. I kinda feel like Bill Engvall and want to say 'here's your sign'.

Until we are at peace with things in our own mind, it won't be just sunday's that are hard. Though I can see why this day would in particular be a trying day. I try to handle things by going back to the routines that I had before knowing her and filling my time with things that I want to do to keep me occupied.
Re:Do you hate Sundays too? Chey: Oh lord, ditto on the car journey. I drove to Cooperstown a few weeks ago, and it was only 4 hours. Thinking I knew what would happen "in my head" I burnt fun CD's, enough for about 9 hours of car journey. No help. I went through 6 years together in that car ride...

Just went out for Indian, had some time with the girls, and taking the new puppy for a walk...not sure how else I'll fill in the remaining hours, but looking forward to a new week at work.
