Wonderful in its own way in_search_of: Last night we had to go to the ER, which sucks, but we got to see the peanut on the US, and it looks healthy and appears to be doing well, as much as it had us scared to death last night!

Lets hope that it was nothing, but well, who knows, not I at this point.

Up until last night I was thinking I was about 8 weeks along. Well, after dinner and a round of putt putt with the boyfriend, we headed home. As we pulled in the parking lot, I started feeling a little crampy. Then as we got inside I got more crampy, I thought that it was the steak that I had for dinner. I didn't pay much attention, until the cramps got really REALLY (I mean make your eyes water) bad. So I laid down on the couch to see if they would pass, until I felt a warm gush. Only to find out that I was bleeding, and I don't mean a little spotting.

So we went to the emergency room. There they did a pelvic exam (my second in 4 days) and drew blood to check my hcg levels, did a urine sample via catheter, and finally after everything else (ie they saw a "moderate" amount of blood in the pelvic exam) and did an ultrasound. Not until after the dr. had managed to scare us senseless, saying there was no real being able to tell what was going on, and that it could be the start of a miscarriage. They finally ordered an ultrasound. That was a relief actually. They did the ultrasound, measured the baby and found that it was about 10 weeks 5 days. So that makes me due on 11/14/05.

The baby's heart rate was good 170-174, and it was moving around. Though, I have an oddly shaped uterus, which I cannot remember the name of and because of that it appears that as the baby has grown it has caused a hemorrage outside of my uterus. This can still threaten the pregnancy so its not all clear. I was scheduled to do an ultrasound for dates on Tuesday anyway, and so I will be calling the OB tomorrow early, to see if I can get in. My first prenatal appointment was on Thursday, and now an emergency room visit, and perhaps another emergency visit to the OB...

I will scan the US soon, and then you can all see out little peanut!
Re:Wonderful in its own way PiscesGoddess: Phew!! Glad to hear everything turned out okay ;D But I know how scary that is..I bled early on with my baby and it scared me to death..but everything turned out fine. Its got to be kind of nice to know you are further along that you thought also huh? Cause pregnancy dragssss... :P Make sure they keep an eye on you and put you on bedrest if neccessary. I dont know if you are familiar but babycenter.com has boards for each month of due dates so maybe if you sign up for the mommies due in November you can see if other mommies have had the same thing. I know it saved me a few times when I was worried about my little guy. Keep us posted and cant wait to see the ultrasound. :D If you ever want to chat PM me since I just got through with the whole pregnancy business :P

Many hugs to you and your little bean!

HUGS to you.
Re:Wonderful in its own way allmixedup: Glad to hear everything is ok. That is some scary stuff. I hope everything goes well from here on out.
Re:Wonderful in its own way Sad Eyes: ISO~ I am happy to hear everything is alright! Try not to worry too much because it can be normal to have some bleeding in the first few months. I did it with both of mine too and had to very healthy pregnancies. I was told when I did that with my first pregnancy that since they heard the heartbeat that chances of miscarriage at that point were VERY slim!!! I don't know if they told you that but it's true and it's a relief when you know that.

Hang in there and don't worry! Everything will be alright! ;)
