Has anyone read Joseph Campbell? Druid13: He writes alot about Mythology, World Religions, American Indian Cultures ,Fairy Tales, Fables etc...and ties them all together. I've been ( among other things) reading alot of his works and found them interesting and pretty Spiritual in a way.
I've alos read about divorce,,,psychology...Mars and Venus starting over...children of alcoholics...etc...many things over the past year...trying to work it out I guess.
Re:Has anyone read Joseph Campbell? teacherwriterguy: Chiming in - yep :) Read Joseph Campbell.
Actually, his "Hero With a Thousand Faces" and the idea of the heroic journey as a model for the human life - that's the part that always captured my attention.
We're all the heroes of our own stories and the quest is life... pretty heady stuff. :D

Re:Has anyone read Joseph Campbell? Druid13: Yep...it is really good material. Interesting. I have Hero with a Thousand Faces....also Myths to live by...and I have read ( but do not own) Power of Myth...we do live out our own Heroic acts I think....
Re:Has anyone read Joseph Campbell? browngreen: I'm a huge fan. I"ve not read anything by him, but lots of things about him, and watched him on the Power of Myth-- fabulous public television series-- you can rent it from the library. It blows me away every time I REMEMBER it, and ti's been years.
