Pride ???? MadorSad: Have to get this out

PRIDE a very simple word to me.....

Over the last year I have seen a big lack of pride in the world in general. Here we go..

Pride in work I work on several sites in different parts of the state and I have seen lack of pride in ones work kill one site I mean oh it is bad I hate to go there it is brutel I have to chew ass push pull and drag them just to get the job done at an exceptible level.

On a different site now lets be fair it is just as hard to work on this site but I dig going there the boys have their heads up ask questions and plan bust ass from the Superintendant down to the APP. I look at their work and boy it is clean nice and they are more than happy to tell me how damn god it is evean if I just chewed their ass ???

Family I have kids so this issue is close to my hart. Kids or our greatest sorce of pride and it looks to me like nowdays kids run amuck I mean every where, back talking to parents yelling at teachers.....In my day it was your ars if you looked funny at a teacher now days kids have a lack of god old fashion fear... Fear made me do the right thing till I was old enough to know what the right thing was. I mean look around next time you are out and about >:(

Seems to me people have just lost pride stand up take a punch in the mouth for what you believe in once in a wile, Do not hide behind the experts that say this or you should do that make your stand take your lumps hell kick butt but remember you did it it is your ass and if you fail well be a good person and learn from your mistakes. Tell others and share the knolage and move on.

Have pride in yourself and your acomplishments take credit for a job well done. Tell people yes I'm good and I did it just because it was the right way to do it...

Step up and take the good too

I'M OUT

Re:Pride ???? soTiredOfHurting: It is not just a decline in pride, but I think that as a whole we are witnessing a downturning of things that are considered decent. With this is an uptake on things that once were thought of as indecent, now they are more accepted and pushed to gain further exposure and acceptance.

I look at my grandparents and their marriage of over 60 years, that was what I wanted my marriage to be like. They survived 3 wars, 20 years of active service in the Marines and the raising of 5 kids, not to mention the Depression. Yet I look at these two and realize that what has changed is us. We are not like that generation at all. No wonder the divorce rate in this country is as high as it is. Now days it is just easier to quit, or find someone new to recapture the feelings that started the marriage.

So what you are pointing out, while true, seems to be just the tip of the iceberg in my opinion.
