Re:My dog just had a huge seizure. Any one have experience with this? AloneandCold: He has been ok since. The vet said I need to get him a blood workup asap to rule out liver, or low glucose. If the blood test comes up negative it is likely epilepsy. If that is the case I just need to watch him. If his seizures become frequent I need to get medicine for him. He has been acting a little different though, it is hard to explain. He seems to be ok now though. No more seizures so far. Thanks for asking. :)

Re: My dog just had a huge seizure. Any one have experience with this? heatherd: I have a black lab mix that is almost a year old and she had her first seizure today (10/13/05). We have taken her to the vet, and they ran bloodwork and it did not show anything that may be causing her seizures. I was glad when I found this information so that I could know what to expect from her.
I would love to find out more information from anyone who has experienced the same situation with their lab.

Re: My dog just had a huge seizure. Any one have experience with this? heatherd: :'( my dog sassy passed away from her seizure the evening she had it when the vet was waking her up from the sedation. She was 11months 6 days old. This is just an update on my situation with my black lab mix.
