Re:What's your dream marriage proposal? ti-poux: OK....i was just kidding....
I would like something simple...just between the two of us....something that reflect the song "Marry Me"
by Amanda Marshal.
Something classic and very romantic
Re:What's your dream marriage proposal? netty_girl: Ok, I am going against what seems to be the norm here. Although I cant even imagine getting married again, I would love to have the great fairytale proposal. I would like the romantic setting, the getting down on one knee- ya know, all the sweet, mushy stuff.
I know the proposal from the tbx was coming, and he just handed me the ring over dinner, and said something like" so were ingaged now right?" May not be the exact wording, but was said that way.
Trust me, not very romantic. Neither was dinner. But it was nice at the time,-he had planned it out, and tried at least. He never was very good at the romance part.

HAHA, I actually think I want that, too. My ex didn't really propose. We were talking about marriage out at dinner one night and decided to get married. Which I was totally cool with at the time...it was a surprise to both of us! ;D We did a different kind of wedding, too...I guess I am just not much of a traditionalist.
This time, again, I don't care about a diamond, a big white dress, or the fairy tale wedding. But I have been thinking a lot about the proposal (because I think the time is sooner than later!!!! ;D) and I want the down on one knee, tears in everyone's eyes, in our favorite place, with our favorite everything, mushier than any mush that has ever mushed mush! LOL I want to feel mushy every time I think about it or tell someone about it. I want it to be so sickening sweet that people roll their eyes when they hear about it. I want it to be the proposal of legends that becomes an urban legend.
So, I don't want much, do I???? :o

BBH's proposal thread got me thinking...WHEN you get married again, how would you like your man to propose? For the guys, how would you propose? Or if you are contemporary, guys would you want to be proposed to? And how? All you women, would you propose to your man? And how?
I gotta think about this one!

Pretend fantasy world where I was "contemporary" instead of "traditional romantic". :)
We'd have spent the last two years together in delicious ecstasy. Everything would match up, personality, interests, tastes, sense of adventure, sexuality, everything. It would be a cold clear winter night with a full moon shining through the window and a fire going in the fireplace in the bedroom. We would have made love for the third time that night, and she would breathlessly tell me that she couldn't go on without me, that she couldn't imagine being with anybody else, and then she'd beg me to marry her. We'd make love again under the moonlight flowing through the window.
Replay that a hundred thousand times, with whatever season you wish. :)
Hey, you asked, right?
