Is age just a number? 2brix: Ok now that we have the new and improved 2brix, thank you all for your support I have one last question. Is age an issue. I am 40 (OMG he's old) and there are so many wonder ladies I would like to get to know but I feel like that creepy old guy on the bus or in BBHs case the old feller in the corner of the bar that just stares at all the pretty young things. Should I be setting an age limit on myself so I just don't appear to be the old weirdo stalking young ladies. My feelings are that I should be setting a limit of say 10 to 12 years at the outside but to be comfortable maybe looking at the 0-6 or 7. Is age just a number?
Re:Is age just a number? jimloveless: that reminds me of an old college pal i had. we went to visit his dad one day, who used to be like a navy seal or something really crazy like that. well, my friend made some sort of comment about his 'step mom'.
LOL
okay, so his dad had to be creeping up on 50, if not already there, and his WIFE was my age... 19. I would not have believed it had i not seen it with my own eyes. this girl calling him 'dear' like june cleaver... a housewife at 19... ouch. He's probably going to be in for a bumpy ride if it hasn't happened already. I think she even offered to make us (her kids) pancakes the next morning. I would have laughed if i could have just stopped scratching my head.
Re:Is age just a number? 2brix: Hmmmm 19 you say. Well lets see that would mean that I would officially be over twice her age. Hmmm would that mean I would have to listen to all that rap and bubble gum stuff or could I keep my old time country music. 19 you say Hmmmm
Re:Is age just a number? Dino: it seems that women are for more willing and even likely to date a man older than they are than men are to date women older than them.
i would think 6-7 at my age(26) is a little much. id prefer a max difference of 3-4 years.
at 40 though I guess 10 years is acceptable
Re:Is age just a number? twobeautifulkids: I've been wrestling with this idea in my head, too. I'm 34 and know I'd have no problem dating a 40 year old, but how about a 50 or 55 year old? I haven't had any offers, so I'm not going to worry too much about it yet!
