Re:Is age just a number? pluscachange: I have no idea why, but I'm in a fantastic mood today.
Thanks for the compliment, btw. :)
Re:Is age just a number? buyrbware: Hell, I just installed a $27,000 in ground pool and hot tub in hopes my 17 and 18 year old sons would throw summer bikini parties! ;D
Did I just type this?
Yah, Yah I did! ;D
Re:Is age just a number? in_search_of: How about this one...
G is 34, I just turned 25 over the weekend, so 10 years difference in age.
My dad is 52, and he just recently went out with a girl who is 34, so of course, oddly enough my dad and I were dating someone who was the same age just briefly....freaking bizarre.
Though, we always laugh about the 20 year allowance at my house. My great grandparents were 20 years apart, so that is an allowable dating gap at our house...meaning that I could date someone who was older than the person that my dad was dating..
Its all just a number, if you find someone that makes you happy, then you find someone who makes you happy, and the number of years old they are is just pointless in worrying bout. There are way to many other things that you have to worry about in dating than how old you both are!
Re:Is age just a number? amola: ok i didn't have time to read the whole thread so if someone already posted this, sorry!
the "formula" that i've heard for guys is that they should take their age, divide by 2 and add 7. that's the youngest girl they should go out with.
40 year old guy divided by 2 = 20 + 7 = 27 years old should be the lower limit.
as for women dating younger men........t is 5 1/2 years younger than me. doesn't bother me a bit. used to creep me out to see older women and younger guys but now it doesn't............
might have to elaborate on this later when i have more time!
:)

Re:Is age just a number? hollygolightly: Ewww - Amola, according to this formula, a 55 year-old man could want to date me? That would be like dating my dad - yuck, yuck, yuck!
I wouldn't be attracted to or think I had much in common with someone too much older or too much younger - I don't know, maybe 4 or 5 years either way? I guess it would depend on the situation.
