I think at times I'd like to go back I think I hid with boose just made me clam up.... When I stoped I had no place to hid.... Now days I drink alot less but I'm sure I feel way way more than I have in a long time.... Damn strange if ya ask me but hey life is good now right 8)

Re:Drunken Man's Words... pluscachange: Sure. Alcohol removes the social filters people normally have in place (sometimes). Meaning, from what I've seen (and honestly, experienced), if a guy has something on his mind weighing heavily, and then he gets blitzed, dollar to a doughnut he's going to blubber on about whatever the issue is later in the night.

Sometimes, this isn't a bad things, sometimes this isn't a good things. It's all contextual.

Re:Drunken Man's Words... Smiley17: Ok, so my next question... do you believe it or not believe it? What if you regret saying what you said, but do it again the next time?

Re:Drunken Man's Words... CoryL: What I know to be true is that alcohol lowers your inhibitions. I do believe you are more likely to speak your mind while under the influence than not.
Re:Drunken Man's Words... Smiley17: I know that on the rare occasions that I have a few, I tend to be a little more open, but I'm still scared of what I might say.

Is it possible to use alcohol to hide behind when you're trying to say something to someone else? But what if you can't back it up?

Example - "I love you and want to be with you", but you can't actually get the guts to see the person. Is it that you regret what you said while you were drunk?
