How do you deal with your new loves ex? scraft: I think this will be my final question for the day..YAY! What is the proper way to deal with your new love's ex? I don't have a good track record with this, so it's best to ask others. My stand on the ex is to just not deal with them. The 2 I've dealt with hated me just for being with their ex. I treated their kids just like I treat mine, but prolly just a tad nicer. I will not raise my voice at a child that is not mine. And, I would never lay a hand on a child that is not mine. So, I'm not real sure of the reason I was hated at first sight. Unless, it may be jealousy? The last one I dealt with well it was a screwed up situation to begin with. The boyfriend didn't bother to mention the fact that he had moved on, and moved in with me. So, I wake up and find some chic in my house, and he was outside playing with their 2 year old daughter. So, of course I'm like ummmm who are you and why are you in my house lol. After mama and baby left I got the low down on what was going on..Baby isn't allowed to be with daddy unless mama is there too. Mama insisted on having a key to what was now my home. She said that if her daughter was going to be there she will have a key. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I tried being understanding about it, but after I found out she had been in our home when we weren't there I demanded she not have a key. I've been meaning to have a little talk with her, and try to come to an understanding. Would that be a good thing to do?
Re:How do you deal with your new loves ex? AmyMarie1972: I think that I would probably talk to your b/f first and tell him that go to her. He would be the best one to deal with it and get the key back. If you talk with her it could turn into a real fight which would not be good.
If he cant get the key back then I would change the locks and make sure that your b/f does not give her a key.

Re:How do you deal with your new loves ex? Shanna: I agree to go thru the bf first. Then if that doesn't work.....talk to her yourself. Mention how if something were to go missing the cops would suspect her first or something.

There is no judge that will order she have a key to your house, but a judge will order visitation and she will have to deal with it. I am on the flip side, and so I understand she is being protective of her child and wanting to make sure she is safe, but that is extreme. The fact that your BF actually gave her one blows me away!! Kinda sounds like he is scared of her. She is threatning things that wont hold up if he pushes it in court.
I cant believe he got involved with you and didnt tell you he had a child??
