Re:How do you meet someone in a bar / club? turning leaf: I don't normally walk up to a guy and 'start things'. They walk up to me or to our table full of women. Here's what i notice a lot and this classic example happened just last week:
Guy A was with his guy friends (they were all ok-looking) and they were in the booth next to ours. They noticed me and my galpal in a very animated conversation. When the waitress served us our appetizer, he said out loud: "Thank God the food's here!" (confidence bordering on obnoxious-ness) but we just smiled and then he blurted out and just said: "You ladies having a good time? Let me buy you another appletini. What are you drinking" (he asked my friend) and bought us drinks. When he came back to our table with the drinks, he casually just joined our table and asked if we always went to that bar, yada yada yada. 5 minutes after, we asked him what his story is and then he went on to say: "ok i'll tell you my story then you tell me yours". After the story-telling, he introduced us to the rest of his friends. We talked about him moving from up north to socal and that he has a daughter, yada yada yada.
One little story can lead up to a dozen other topics.
Will not disclose how the night ended. Too hilarious and incriminating. ;D

Re:How do you meet someone in a bar / club? Cowboy12: Don't know if I should recommend this or not, but we have a country wide smoking ban in bars /clubs etc.
Only too right you say, thing is most places have an outdoor area / deck where you can go and have a smoke, and as more women than men smoke, here it really is like being a kid in a sweet shop.
The ammount of flirting that goes on, while out smoking is un-beliveale. People coming on to each other, asking for a light, etc. It seems that a common bond between smokers has made it easy for people to talk to each other.

Just be yourself. Exert a certain level of self confidence but don't be arrogant. Carry yourself with enthusiasm and confidence, and the ladies will be falling at your feet. A good cologne spritz on your way out the door can help too......smell good, look good, carry yourself well, and you've got it made!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
