NC Trip Details teacherwriterguy: A few people had asked for details about my trip to NC to see TWGFB, so including them here. Fair warning - gooshy, sappy stuff ahead :P Read at your own peril:
I landed in Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon - a few minutes early even. As soon as I hit baggage claim, I called TWGFB on the cell and we were pretty much in constant contact from that point onwards :D
One of the best, early moments was as I was driving along the highway to see her, and we were freaking out on the telephone waiting, and there was a HUGE crack of thunder from the ongoing rainstorm - and we both jumped on the phone. It was a reminder that we were both in the same place (finally) at the same time.
Our first 'date' was a meal at a local seafood restaurant followed by a long walk around her town... the rain had cleared, the summer flowers smelled FANTASTIC (and she can name them all!) and the town is full of gorgeous, historic buildings.

Highlights included:
Several wonderful dinners - including a candlelit one at a gorgeous Italian restaurant where I learned that I do, in fact, like red wine. :)
A midnight movie viewing of "Crash" that left us both talking into the wee hours.
Riding through a wildlife preserve twice over with the little one eagerly racing from side to side of the car pointing and giggling at the emus and llamas.
Boggle - YEP - we played Boggle. :)
Sitting on a gorgeous, sunlit bench in the park as the last hour ticked away, talking about how excited we were to make future plans.
