Well, after the shared thunderclap on the phone, it really started to downpour. We stayed on the cell as I passed through the exits. I was staying at a hotel during my stay, and she had driven over to the parking lot to meet me, and from there we were going to go out to our dinner.
When I got to the last exit, I was sitting at the corner waiting to turn, and I could see her car in the parking lot, and we were both a bit panicked. :D
I pulled in along side of her, parked in the next spot. We both snuck a quick peek through the window and waved to make sure it was really us... :D The whole thing felt VERY surreal.
We got out of the cars and hugged in the rain for a good five minutes. :)
We were both trying to remember later what our first words were... I'm not ENTIRELY sure... but I think it was:
"Oh my goodness, you look exactly like you! Do I look like me?"
"Yup, you look like you!"
I know - hardly poetry... but there it was! ;D
