Took my Praxis exams this morning... twobeautifulkids: The reading comprehension and math weren't too awful, but the writing (picking which sentence of the very similar sentences is most grammatically correct) was horrible. I ran out of time on that. Then there was the essay. I had enough to write, but you never know if the person looking at yours is going to be nice about it. *SIGH*
I keep thinking I need to have an alternate plan in case this whole Master's teaching program doesn't pan out due to these tests, or prereqs or something. I just don't know what that alternate plan is. Can't live off of of minimum wage. :-\
Re:Took my Praxis exams this morning... twobeautifulkids: Thanks, Poetry/wereiam! The first exam was at 7:30. That seemed a tad early for an exam! ;)
I'm trying to get into a Master of Arts in Teaching program. If I manage to get in (have to pass Praxis, do a portfolio, do an interview and have them accept me even while I am fulfilling my prerequisites) I will start in May 2006. It's a year long, very intense program. It's what I really want to do. If it's in God's plan for me, I'll do it! Results back in 4 long weeks! Ahhhhhhhh.
Re:Took my Praxis exams this morning... teacherwriterguy: You'll be surprised at how well you do on the Praxis Exams, I'm sure. I thought I did poorly too - but it was just fine. :)

Re:Took my Praxis exams this morning... Lome: I am sure you did just fine on the praxis. What will you be teaching?
Me...7th Science...long hours, little pay...and I love it!
Good luck in the future...let me know if I can help.
Lesson plans are so fun! if you do a google search, there are some great resources to help in the classroom.
Re:Took my Praxis exams this morning... twobeautifulkids: This is one of quite a few variables to get me INTO a program for a Master of Arts in Teaching. It will be for elementary education. I believe I'd like to teach K-2, personally. I don't think I could handle the middle school set! HAAAAAAA!
