If my son came home talking of the OW, I'd be beside myself too.. I am so sorry... I wish I had some constructive words of advice.. just try and hold your children very close to you - they will help you through it.
And, you can expect to have a wide range of emotions - hurt is one of them.. and my least favorite.. hang in there.
Re:God I feel SAD !!! wowee: Cowboy - is it wrong for me to say I wish you had been my husband? To see someone truely want to be with their kids & not get to be there for them kills me. My X uses them as a way to get to me & my poor son has asked me to find him a new Daddy - one who won't leave us. I can feel that you are in pain & I am so sorry. I do hope it subsides & tomorrow is a brighter day for you. If I have nothing else to say that can lift your spirits, it is this - you are a great Dad for loving your kids so much & although they may not get to spend every day with you I am sure they know and feel your love. They will never have to question it & will always be lucky to have you.
Re:God I feel SAD !!! whatnext: I'm sorry Cowboy. I read your story and it sounds really tough, especially with your children's lives hanging in the balance -- and it doesn't sound like your wife is really "present" for them.
What I have to say, and I'm sorry if it is inappropriate, is how effing pissed off your story makes me, because if there is one thing that is apparent, it is that a deadbeat mom can do just about anything, but a really great dad only needs to give a dirty look and the effing judges in this country will basically hijack his life. They'll take your kids and then screw you financially (regardless of who has more money...) to boot.
For all the complaining you hear about "bad dads" on the news, it seems that every dad I'm talking to (and we're all pretty normal, good jobs, etc.) is basically being taken to the cleaners, on a large or small scale, by a vindictive wife.
I'm really sorry for your kids. Hire the best lawyer you can afford.

Sorry you're feeling down today! It is especially difficult on the days we confront the exes, isn't it? Someone told me I am happiest when I am not having to see him or speak with him.
Know that your pain will wither away and be gone one day. Know that there are people in this world who care for you including everyone on this site. If you're really feeling blue, try to imagine your life, the life of your neighbor, of all the people on your street and expand from there. Everyone experiences pain, we are all little parts of a BIG world out there! We're all in the same boat.
