I'd never give up our son in a zillion years, but he has NO responsibility and ALL the freedom, and always has. I have always done EVERYTHING. Shame on ME!

I totally feel you!!!! Luckily for the first time in forever, my kids grandparents took them to the lake for the weekend. I went and got drunk as a skunk (long overdue) Went to two movies on Saturday and extreme bowling. I feel like a human being for the first time in a long time. It is so frustrating, and don't get me wrong I would not trade my kids for anything (or give them to their loser dad) but it is nice to have an identity seperate from mommy every so often.
Oh and how am I ever supposed to meet any one different if I never get out on my own. Everyone's little don't worry you meet someone better just rubs me wrong!!!!!!!!
It is monday morning and I may still have a touch of alcohol content in my blood. YEAH FOR ME!!!!!!!

Long story short - today i gave my notice on my summer job because the ex can't get herself out of bed to take care of our girls. And i can't just drop them off at her house because she rarely sleeps there. don't want to know.
And the best part is how much the girls love her. Nothing said it better than when we went to get a christmas tree last winter while mom slept off her drunk and the girls sang, "mom's better than dad" the whole way there.
Sure, some fathers are crap, but some us are actually decent human beings trying to do what's right.

Sorry Freovir I forget sometimes that there are good decent men out there that are interested in their childrens lives. I only wish my kids' dad were half as cool as you.
