Re:Study Finds a 7-Year Itch, and a 4-Year One ColoHill: He started cheating right before our 4 years. He asked for a seperation only days after. It's kinda' creepy. I have heard about this before. And, I am sure the fact that we have 3 & 5 year old children adds strain. I just think it is odd how many people find trouble in their relationships at that 4 or 7 year point...It isn't until you get so many of us in one place that the point is driven home.

Our problems were first, third, fifth, seventh, and eighth year, and mostly involved his looking outside our marriage for that someone different. :o In his defense, the first year was mostly due to financial problems. ::)

Yeah when I look back I can't see why I stayed either.
Year 1. Stbxw gets pregnant 4 weeks after knowing her.
Year 2 . Have first child. get married 3mths. later .
Year 3. she got pregnant 4 weeks after honeymoon.2nd child born.
Court case . my wife had been raped/strangled a few yrs. before meeting me, hugely stressful time, case held in Old Bailey London, man charged with 6 life sentences, stbx takes things very bad & her drinking reaches dangerous levels.
Year 4. her drinking becomes worse, leave england to live in ireland. tries to commit suicide. treatment centre for Alcohol addiction.
Year 5 . more drinking, mre suicide attempts. more treatment centres. 3rd child born.
year 6. finally gets sober, joins AA.
year 7. we have our fourth child. starts affair with menber of her AA group, says she wants space, I find out about affair, and leave, as she starts going out every evening. I file foe seperation.
looking back not a good marriage, apart from god blessing me with 4 beautiful kids.
