I also just saw Sylvia Brown when she was in town...very interesting woman. The thing that surprised me the most about her is how very spiritual she is. Refers to Jesus quite often, and knows her stuff!

My psychic update :) jen: Ok, call me trusting, call me naive or any such thing - but I thoroughly enjoyed my psychic reading this evening.
She spent nearly 3 hours with me and the sense of calm that I left the office with was astounding.
She didn't give me any set answers. Some of the things that she alluded to were even quite vague. But, she DID nail who I am, what I value in myself and others, and what I still have left to work on. (I'd say that maybe I'm just an open book and these were all superficial things, but those of you know me a little would probably just laugh at that anyways)... She even gave me a few homework assignments that she saw as important to help me get from where I am to where I want to be.
Oh, and she shared a couple of nice images that she sensed from my future :D
edited to add: She also mentioned that I have an incredible support network, and you, my Ojar friends are a HUGE part of that!!! Thanks and hugs to you all :)

That's cool. I've never been to one, but growing up with hippies for parents and the whole new age thing around me, I've met a couple.
One was hired to find my missing brother.... she didn't. She said he was on another planet.
Well, he's been found, and he's weird, so I think maybe I know what she meant.
But she told me I have a spirit guide that is a wood nymph (or sprite). This was back in high school when I was a sort of punker type. Being in the woods was not my schtick back then. But the wood nymph would appear to me as a faint hue of aqua marine when I needed her, she said. I've yet to need a wood sprite, but I think about it sometimes when I'm out backpacking, and sometimes I even catch myself looking around my peripheral vision to see if she's watching or guiding me.
She showed my parents where there were some vortexes of energy on the property-- good places to grow certain things, build, or to leave totally untouched.
I met a medium once too, and she channelled this spirit from some other constellation..... when she sneezed, it was interesting because it surprised her, and she said "What was that?" and laughed at Human noses.
Ok... so two of my parents best friends were psychics, and I loved them very dearly. Their specialty was reading auras and conducting past life regressions.
They never made much out of being psychic. But when they wanted to, they'd blow me away.
One time I was at their house, and harry was behind me. OUt of nowhere I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and I turned around. He was looking at me, but not at me.... looking INto me. Not into my eyes, but INTO me. I blushed. I felt embarassed. Made sure I wasn't just thinking bad thoughts!
He said "You're mostly yellow, and pink. That's a neat combination. And your yellow is brighter than most. In fact, both colors are pretty intense."
He said yellow is intellectual abilities and intelligence, and pink is caring and affection.
I'm glad he noticed I was caring, because I really liked him and Carolina and felt affectionately toward them.
THe thing about it is that I don't know if I have a pink and yellow aura, or what... but it has given me something tot hink about. That for some reason, someone beleived they saw in me that I'm both a highly intelligent and caring. That has meant a lot to me.
Some people I know did the past life regressions with them, and the same goes there.
Who knows if it's real? The important thing is that from their own minds, an idea of another life came out, and that life was characterized by certain traits and qualities/experiences-- that is what is important-- that that experience comes out of a person doing that.
I did meet another one just a few years ago (socially-- the mom of a friend's friend). I actually got kind of drunk with her and she told me my son's dad was in a better place, and was happy.
Pretty basic I guess, but it was comforting to hear at the time! And she didn't know me, and I never did ask what she knew of me.

it was so real, it was freaky. i actually got teary when he started. it was all so true. he talked about things that i was feeling, like being concerned about my starting my job, and feeling like i wasn't good enough....and i hadn't told that to anyone.
was interesting enough that i would do it again.
actually have my own set of lover's tarot cards....but haven't used them on myself in a while...maybe i will do a reading tonite, seeing as i am going out of town this weekend for some fun!!! ;)
