I'm almost done, already signed the final decree and waiting for things to finish up. They still want their ring back after all this is done, wow... even though it's community property, I rather not keep this cursed thing. It would seem bad luck if I did keep it, ya know....
I found that even if I'm to be single, I am happier now because I'm not dragging a deadweight, narcissistic albatross anymore. I have freedom now to go for a degree in early childhood education. I've seen the ray of hope after this big storm and am rejoicing.

I'm slowly but surely coming to a conclusion; it is right to be afraid of commitment. Not because men have anything to lose (women do?), but because it is always possible the other doesn't commit as one does :-\
I'm considering joining the club of "fearing commitment"...
