As for the pain, mine has not gone away and I don't expect it to anytime soon. Just go one day at a time and over time things will get better, at least thats what i'm telling myself.

I like your analogy to surgery. Hadn't thought about it that way, but yeah it feels like something important has been removed from me, too. As for how long the pain lasts, well, it's different for everyone. I think, just like recovery from surgery, the pain goes away with time and effort. I hope someday I can confirm that through experience.

Just filed for divorce.... beulah: I've been married for a year, we've been together for almost 5 yrs. It's been a month since we separated and couple of days ago I filed for divorce :'(
Feels like the worst month of my life, tried to stay away from anti-depressants but gave up and hoping they will make this pain go away somehow..
This whole divorce process seems like a very painful but necessary surgery, when will it heal? When? How long? How did you people survive???
