Sometimes its because they fear losing it so much...they fear the pain that would bring... and they fear the fact that they don't have any control over it... That they think it's easier to ruin it themselves...that gives them some control and they wont be scared of losing anymore...they'll already have lost it.
They are so scared of being hurt that they basically beat you to it... I'll hurt you before you can hurt me type of deal.... I'll ruin it before it ruins me...
I guess I speak from experience in a way. I used to push people away from me before they had a chance to leave... I thought it was easier....
Re:from top to bottom..in one week fiz: Its all about confusion man. Thats what I've Learned the past few months. People can do strange things when confused, destroy great things. Its usually up to the people that are not as confused and love that person the most to try and help them out of the whirlwind they are in. That and TIME. I dont mean to speak like I know it all but its what I am harshly learning specially of the past few days as youy might know from responding to my posts. We just have to stay strong and wait....

Re:from bottom to top..in one week KittyKat28: It’s hard to do (quit pushing)… it took me until someone was just as stubborn as me…if not more so. When ever I pused he pushed back. And then the fact that even though I pushed away he kept calling to see how I was doing… he was still there even though I tried to ignore him. I guess just the fact that I knew without a doubt that if I ever needed him he was still there. To this day I’m still friends with him even though we’ve gone our separate ways… So I guess the only advice I have to give is even if you don’t have the kinda of relationship you want with her… even if it’s not perfect. Make sure she knows you’ll always be there. It’ll help sooth her fears. And who knows maybe she’ll change her mind... best of luck... You truly deserve to be happy

I am with fiz there. We live in a fast food/microwave society. When things arent smooth or the way you think they should be people bail out before they try to fix it. It takes work and the question you should ask yourself is ......Is it worth the effort?
