Re:How do you tell people??? getting_rough: I have been trying to hide it for a few weeks now because its so new. A few family and friends. But today I had a real weird experience. I was at a store grabbing some supplies for work when I ran into some one I hadnt seen in while. I dont even think that they knew that I had gotten married. they asked "whats new with you?" I spit out "not much except that I am going through a divorce." It kinda caught me off gaurd that i said it and i got into my car quickly and started to cry. Wierd.
Re:How do you tell people??? Tarheel: The easiest one for me was bumping into the ex's old best friend. (Keep in mind, they were so close at one time, that my ex moved to Alabama from Pennsylvania to stay with her.) Ran into her while me and my best friend were shooting pool one night in Montgomery. She calls out my name, cause I'm quite identifiable in town as the skinny white guy who always wears North Carolina Tar Heel apparel. She looks at me weird, looks around kinda funny and says, "You missin' someone?" And I did the same sarcastic look around the place, "Nope."

Telling my mom that I was being cheated on was incredibly difficult. I almost told her of my suspicion a week before I found out for real. Then I found some pictures the next week and I HAD to tell her. Called her on the phone trembling and told her to come over to the house. I just handed her the pictures and they spoke for themselves. Then it was ON. Mom told Dad, and it was more or less a declaration of war at my parents' house.

Now as far as telling everyone now about the divorce, it's not a problem for me, cause I've been open with everything from the beginning. So nobody's asking me the hard questions.

I guess that just came out, huh? I'm sorry about that.

Don't worry, though. It's no one's business to pry. You were merely telling the truth...
