got some assistance... amola: when i first split from my ex, i started going to a support group that is sponsored by our local domestic violence/sexual assault task force....
the advocate that runs the group has been a wonderful help to me ever since......they have given me alot of "stuff" to help me get through, including adding me and my kids to the angel trees in town at christmas time to make sure that we had christmas presents.
i have been very hesitant to ask them for help because the other women in the group are in such worse shape than i am.....some of them live at the safe house and are fearful for their lives......they have lost everything. i, on the other hand, have a house and my kids and my jobs.....
anyway, i told her about the issues with t and with refinancing and everything, and she sat down with me and went through my bills.......
she just called me, and they put checks in the mail today totalling just over $300 to pay my gas, electric, and phone bills, all of which were overdue. :o i think that i had already paid parts of the past due balances, so it might work out that i won't have those bills this coming month, or they'll be smaller, but either way.....i can't believe it.
sometimes........good things do happen........
