HE ASKED ME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!FINALLY leia: Ok, so for all of you wonderfull people that have been following my saga, HE FINALLY ASKED ME OUT!!!!!!
Our flirting continued after I gave him the CD of provocative music that suggested that we should be a pair! At first I didn't know how to take his response, which was "you can't hurry love." I didn't see him for two days because I was out at training and when I returned, he was all eyes and smiles!
The Fifth grade at our school graduated and because i'm in a quasi administrative role, I went to graduation to help out with small details. Well he's a fifth grade teacher, so this gave us a chance to flirt even more and he helped me pass out programs to the parents, which I clearly did not need, but loved every minute of!
Then after graduation, a couple of us went out to eat with the Assistant Principal. I sat across the table from him and he kept teasing me which allowed me to kick him under the table and flirt even more. I mentioned in passing that I wanted to see war of the worlds and his eyes widened!
At the end of the school day, I knew he was in his room, but he was talking with someone and I was so scared that it was another female co-worker because the lights were off and they were alone. I freaked out, called my girlfriend, she told me to knock on the door and I did. It was another MALE co-worker!!!!! He looked happy to see me, so I asked him if he was going to babysit at the 5th grade prom. He had forgotten, but said he would stop by and of course, I was SOOOO thrilled!
I was at the prom first, freaking out cause I knew if he didn't come, that was a sign that he really wasn't interested, and lo and behold, he appears. After he got there, I didn't even go into the area where the children were dancing, I talked with him in the hallway the entire time. He got some food and I motioned him to go into an empty classroom. He came and we sat there and had conversation for almost two hours. Some people came around, here and there, but for the most part we were alone. All of this was of course so exhilerating for me and I can't believe I haven't popped from anticipation yet.
So, the week goes by, and it's the last day of school. When I walked in the building, I saw him standing in the main office, our eyes met and the non verbal signals were out of control. This was it, the freaking last day of school. Then we passed each other in the hallway, made movie dramatic eye contact and reached out and touched hands simutaneously. After that, I literally didn't see him again for the rest of the day. I was devestated and almost in tears. The day ended at 3:00 and 2:30 I couldn't find him. I searched the entire building, even asking people where he was and then I realized from their responses that he was also wondering where I was. I was about to leave and at 2:57 we finally found each other in the teacher lounge, he turned around and blurted out, WAR OF THE WORLDS TOMORROW, ARE WE GOING? YIPPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I then looked at him and said, "guess what? I'm not returning to this school next year." You should have seen the smile on this guy's face. That's right!!! I got a new job and a promotion! I'm going to become a mentee principal and after one year become the founding principal of my own school!!!! Although, i've been hounding this guy, i've also been on a different path of creating a new future! He was so astonished and happy for me!
So now the story continues............. ;D
