update leia: So our first date was this Thursday! We met for a movie and I tried my best not to have so many expectations. I heard that he was not the aggressive type, so I convinced myself that it was pointless to expect a kiss or any intimate interaction. When I say intimate, I don't mean sex, but an arm over the shoulder etc.
So we get to the movie theatre, joke around, and then the began to watch the movie. About half way through the movie, I feel his finger tips on my knee! I've been thinking about, lusting over, fantazing about this man for months, and I thought I would just die! Well, I won't go into details, but he stepped up our game in the movie theatre and now I find myself praying that we slow down just a little bit. I know that we spent all year getting to know one another, so it's a little different in that respect, but I just don't want to plundge into the deep end head first, due to the fact that we've been building tension all year. On one hand, I want to go for the gusto uh... yesterday, but on the other hand I want to chill and continue to get to know one another.
After the movie, we got something to eat and talked for almost two hours. I love talking to him and he really opened up to me about love, relationships and who he is as a person. He was also attempting to measure how similar or different I am to his exwf. At the end of our date, I could tell he didn't want it to conclude, because I kept reminding him that he had to go and he kept saying that he had more time. He asked me if I had any good ideas of things we could do together, and we then decided to watch Hotel Rwanda and curb your enthusiasm together at my house sometime next week. He called yesterday and we talked for another hour and a half. I must admit, I miss seeing him everyday and I hope that something beautiful evolves from our friendship, but time will only tell..............

Take things at the pace that you are comfortable with, but it sounds to me as though things could be really great for the two of you.
