Re:potty training with only two week days dreamerpoet: I'm with Cap'n Kin. I tried the pull ups and then the thick gerber underwear. Finally I put him in a pair of big boy underwear (please keep in mind we had hardwood floors at the time) and he peed down his leg once and that was that. Never had another accident and no night accidents. He was finally able to put the urge to go with the actual going and feel it.
Try to make a big deal about it (in a good way) take him to the store and let him pick out his very own big boy underwear. And whatever you do remember to ask him if he has to go every hour. Praise him when he does and hey the cheerios are a great idea too.
Don't get discouraged. I had my son trained at 2 1/2 and then the day care (private) was sneaking around and putting him in diapers cuz she was too lazy to take him potty. Well I couldn't figure out why his pants were wet all the time and once I did I was livid. It took me another 6 mo give or take to get him trained again.
Very nicely, (try starting out with a compliment like what a good job she is doing as a mom, even if it is hard to say) then suggest the potty training and make sure it isn't confrontational, try something like hey I really want to work with you what do you think about potty training etc.... good luck, I know how onry us girls can be. ;)
Re:potty training with only two week days starzluv: i don't know how good this advise is, but it worked for my son. we had a little bit of a hard time with him. one day while i was gone and my husband was home alone with the kids, our son peed on the floor right in front of his dad and my husband put the training potty on the floor at the end of our bed and told him to sit there till he went. when i got home, my husband was asleep in bed with the baby, and our son had fallen asleep on the potty. it was such a sight, but it worked. he has never had an accident since. he's now 6. i probably would have never done it if i was home, but it did the trick.
