Changes in self another1: After feeling the most pain that I have ever felt going
through the rough rough rough low point of realizing
that I was truely being abandoned and the feelings of
selfdoubt and hurt that continue to boil up I realize
how strong this experience is making me.
I was sparing in my martial arts class and playing
quite rough with a higher belt when he started
really going after me, I didn't back down, but...
I did get hit really really hard with a kick to the
chest.
I was winded but didn't want to stop the sparring,
untill I started coughing up blood. Cracked ribs,
bruised lung and burst some things in my sinus
from the impact that caused the bleeding.
Sitting in the emergency room thinking
this is nothing look at what you've already
survived. 2 weeks latter I'm back to training
being carefull, hurting a bit but back at it
none the less.
Anyone else have any experiences or moments
that have highlighted possitive changes in oneself
sinse seperation/divorce major or minor?

Re: Changes in self Samarra: Oh do I know what you mean!
Nothing like going through a crisis to save your spirit.
Sounds ridiculous right? How can going through a life shattering event...any, whether it be divorce or what have you...uplift the spirit? Double edged sword.
After beating the shit out of you...when you come through the fire..you realize..."Hey...I can do this!" Thought it would kill me but I'm still here....kicking and screaming...but still here!
How can't that help?? How can't that positively affect your attitude?
It's tough to see this clearly when your in the thick of it....but when things die down...it hits you...and every situation you go through after keeps reaffirming it.
Love this question!
