Help write letter to step daughter redmacaw1: I know 80% of our collapse was over my relationship with her daughter. It was never very good. She is 16
I was thinking of send the daughter a letter, I have started it a couple of times but it seems so strained. I want to let her know that I feel bad that this has happened and to say I hope there maybe some good in it for us both.
Am I way off base with this one?
Can anyone help with some suggestions as to what I can put in it?

Not off base. I think the letter should be written, & it should come straight from your heart. My suggestion would be to come up with a draft (no matter how rough). Then post it on unsent letters, or PM it to me or someone else, & we'll help you w/content if possible.
