Re: So the OM has a suspended license... sourpuss: it's probably a low priority for them, but you never know.
it would be best if you could call while he was actually behind the wheel.
wouldn't it be fun to get him in trouble.....
the other big bad nasty guy expensive thing you can do is have your custody agreement modified. SHE is being extremely irresponsible. knowingly allowing this to happen. i don't recomend this action.
Re: So the OM has a suspended license... sigkapgirl: You know, I told you last night to call the police :P
Anyways, I really do think you should call the police. Do you have a friend that's a police officer? That might help. Better yet, you should become a cop so that you can just terrorize the guy. Just kidding :P
Maybe you could have your brother drive around near his house when they would be leaving to drop Savannah off, and that way the cops would have plenty of time to bust him.
Other than that, the only thing I can think is to maybe talk to your lawyer about what you can do about the situation, because really, she has already made poor choices that will affect Savannah emotionally, it isn't fair to jeopardize her safety as well.
Really though, you live in a small town. Like the police have anything better to do! Besides, if this guy is as bad as you say he is, they've had enough run ins with him that they despise the guy :P
Re: So the OM has a suspended license... ColoHill: I don't know about there but that calling the police on something like that doesn't work in Colorado. My daughter's father has had a suspended license for over a year now. Whenever I have been somewhere close during the weekends she is there and have caught him driving with her, I have called and talked to someone. They've told me there isn't anything they can do unless they pull him over for something else. They also said chances are, since he doesn't have record (yet) of being pulled over with a suspended license, he would probably just get a warning. I had been told to call social services for endangerment of a child and they told me it wasn't. So....Good luck to you! I feel for you, I tell ya' I do!
Re: So the OM has a suspended license... sourpuss: it may not work where you are, but here there is an anonymous "snitch" line at the insurance company.....
Re: So the OM has a suspended license... amola: i would definitely do some checking with the police. find out what would happen if, say, he did get pulled over or god forbid had an accident with her in the car. since he would be driving on a suspended license, i would think that he could be arrested. what if he's the only adult in the vehicle and he gets arrested? savannah immediately goes into police custody.
definitely check with the police and/or the insurance company.....i know around here, the cops have a field day with drivers with suspended licenses!!!!
good luck!!!
