I find out
she wants to stay together
she breaks up with teacher
I give ultimatum: "come home or forget it."
refuses to come home
[June"> I file for divorce
we continue to work on it
I make a suprise trip to work on things
find her with the OM at 3am drinking wine ("just friends")
i still try to work on things
she eventually says it's over.
Strangely, I'm relieved.
This entire time I have been completely devestated. Not eating, barely working, crying, you know the drill.
Anyhow, I suprised myself by meeting a few girls after the "final" breakup. Something clicked in me and I got happy. I've met some great people already and lost the "I'm doomed" feeling. As a matter of fact, I'm going out with another girl tonight (not really dates, just going out). It feels great! The problem was in myself -- I was depressed (I guess) and just couldn't do anything... and it just feeds on itself.
To the depressed people out there, things do get better!

PS: This is a topic for another thread, but guess who called a couple days ago wanting to come home. I said "Don't come right now. I think you're experiencing a moment of weakness. So give it a few days and see how you feel."

Glad to hear that you're feeling well. I think your response to her was perfect. Puts the ball back in her court without being cruel or opening yourself up to more pain.
