the beating of a heart.... amola: well......we heard it! the baby's heartbeat! *happy dance*
got to the doc's office, and started to worry that t wasn't going to show. he got there just a few minutes later, and we chatted about nothing until we went in to the exam room. my weight was *ahem* ok, blood pressure was good, yada yada yada. nurse practitioner came in and did the lovely pelvic exam then got out the little heartbeat-hearing thingee. t was sitting in his assigned chair the whole time, and he didn't take his eyes off my face the whole time...took her a few seconds to find it, but then we heard the very distinct chugga chugga chugga of the baby's heartbeat. his face lit up and he just sat there and smiled. :)
so, the nurse left, i got dressed and the doc came in. said everything looks good at this point, asked us if we had any questions, yada yada yada. went over to the vampire and gave up about 5 vials of blood, and we were outta' there. we walked out to the parking lot together, i gave him his cell phone bill, we talked for a few minutes, he gave me a hug and a kiss, and he had to leave to go to work.
i'm encouraged at this point....he originally had the morning off work and didn't have to go in until 2pm, but they changed his schedule and made him go in at 8am this morning, giving him the perfect opportunity to bail on the appointment. but he left work, came to the appointment, and went back to work. we worked the next appointment around his work schedule as much as we could, and he took the little appointment card with the date and time on it.
so maybe things are going to start looking up at this point......he seemed pretty excited when we left, and he had fun looking through the big 3-ring binder of info that the doc gives us.
we'll see.........
but at least the baby seems to be ok! yay! thanks for all the happy thoughts! next appointment is 8/9/05.

Re: the beating of a heart.... tyrogers: WOO HOO!!! All is good with baby girl!!! Yes, it will be a girl. Just a gut feeling on my end. ;) Hey! I have guessed like 7 out of the last 8 correctly with all of my firends/family. Although, I guess I could be wrong (which NEVER happens).....we shall see.
I am glad that things are looking up for you girl. The happy thoughts are working!

wait and see......it'll be a few months before we can even find out about that aspect of things! lol

I am so glad that you heard peanuts heartbeat and that t did actually come to the appointment like he said he would. I hope for you that things do start turning around.

I knew I was pregnant within a week, but it never really hit me until I heard her heartbeat. Then I KNEW I was pregnant and was carring a beautiful child. MY child. I hope he feels the same way and he now knows he HAS a child that needs him in his/her life. Lots of loves to you!!!!!!!! and Congrats one more time!
