Re: Around and around we go!!! Smiley17: Good news on this lovely issue. My manager came up to me this afternoon and asked me to "explain" what happened.
This is what happened:
I had 3 orders, not piddly, little, rinky dink things, but orders worth at the very least $98,000 (just for one of the three). I asked back in May to have all 3 marked to ship ASAP, as soon as they were completed. Yeah, two of the three were "correctly" marked and shipped "ASAP", the fourth... nope! NOT MARKED in time for planning. How I have no idea since all were on the same report and all went to the same people on the same day, at the same time. ::)
They tried to blame ME!!! I was like, freak no! I requested them marked, they got marked! It was planning's fault - NOT MINE!
So, me being as smart as I am, kept all e-mail pertaining to all three orders, like I do with all for compliance and legal matters, and it's a good thing because accordning to all of my reports and e-mail, the orders were marked correctly. It just so happens that this little one "slipped through the cracks", and I was the one who caught it and took action. The action we had to take costs the company another $3,000. It ended up being planning's fault, not Smiley's!
Take that, suckers!!!!! BAM!
Hell yeah! I love it when I'm not wrong!
P.S. Last year at this time, I DID have a boo boo... a $200,000 one! So, you can imagine how good I feel now!
Re: Around and around we go!!! AfterMath: One of those darn sucky days Smiley. Smart Girl for holding onto the e-mails!
I only wish we we had competent supplier peeps that were as good as you!
Re: Around and around we go!!! Smiley17: Yeah, a somewhat sucky day. I had a ton of changes and things going on and I think it's starting to catch up now.
Thanks for the compliment. I really do take pride in my job, and sometimes, it shows!

Smiley does her job in a big way, but planners never plan. Great catch!
