Online divorce services?

Online divorce services? ostia: Has anyone used an online divorce service? If so, can you tell me anything about how easy or difficult it was to use?

My divorce is about as simple as a divorce can be: no children, no joint assets, no alimony, no nothing....we've already divided our household stuff, and we always kept our finances separate even while we were married. So I'm thinking I don't want to pay a lwayer $2000 to handle this for us, but on the other hand I don't feel confident enough to try to do it without any guidance at all...so the online thing mine be just right.

This is a ridiculous analogy, but I keep thinking of how easy my taxes were to do when I used TurboTax online...I never could have done them without the program, but with the porgram it was very easy and I didn't need an accountant.

However, if the actual filing of the documents is really complicated (not just their preparation), I'd probably be better off hiring a lawyer, because I hate red tape....

Anyone have any experience with this?
Re:Online divorce services? ChrisJane: As long as you and your stbx agree to everything do this route. Filing is simple. You can pay the online service and they prepare all the forms or you can buy ($35) a book and type them yourself. Then all you have to pay is the filing fee at the court house. You can call your Clerk of Courts Office to find out your counties filing fees. Online you'll probably pay around $200 for the paperwork and then pay the filing fees. Its still cheaper. Doing it yourself your looking at being divorced within 60 days where using attorneys it could take at least 6 months!
