No more pictures... picadilly: So after almost a month since she's left me, I finally have the strength to take down the last picture I have of her at my office. I had 4 pictures of her & us on/around my desk. The last one came down just 5 minutes ago. I guess I was holding out hope that she may decide it was all a mistake, that we could start again but I know thats not gonna happen, that to her our marriage was the mistake.

Boy, it's harder then I thought it would be. Have to start packing tonight too, only 2 weekends left before I have to move.

When you move - you'll have a fresh start - no ghosts floating 'round to make you sad. You'll be able to refocus you and your life. Removing the pictures is a positive step in the direction of regaining your life! Hang in there sweetie! We are all here for you!

Re:No more pictures... robert98: That is tough. I remember that when my STBX bailed I stuffed the office pictures in a drawer. About a month later I was cleaning out the cubicle to leave town and I still remember accidentally looking at the one wedding picture and how intensely searing the emotion was to see that image of her and of me on our wedding day -- it was almost like for an instant I could feel cells crackling throughout my body....
Re:No more pictures... inebr: I'm sorry, Picadilly. That's hard. I know that feeling of holding out hope. I don't think it's a bad thing to do, just as long as it doesn't turn into denial. but that's not the case with you. I edged on that for a while.
Anyhow, this is the hardest part, IMO, the moving out and separating of stuff. Lots of peace these next weeks. We're all here for you.

While I was at work she came by & picked up the rest of her clothes. Now there is nothing of her's left in the closets. So barren... oh man, this hurts again.
