you don't have to prove anything to anybody. what do you think that you have to prove? that you can stay there in a loveless relationship, being treated like the hired help? take courtleigh out of her home? honey, her home is anywhere that you are. you just moved into that place recently, and she adapted. she'll adapt to another place just as easily.

remember our conversation out back on the swing after court's bday party? i was talking about t's total lack of involvement with the pregnancy, and i asked b when it became "real" to him that he was going to be a father? do you remember what he said? "it still doesn't seem real"....he made it sound to me like he didn't give 2 sh!ts that night that he has a daughter. i almost slugged him right then and there, but i was too freakin' tired to get up off the grass. lucky for him.
honey.....he needs to grow up. you have nothing to prove.....you are an awesome mom, trust me on that one.

You are not in a relationship right now, you are in a self esteem sucking black hole (wow, I am colorful tonight....) and that will not get better until you get out.
Now, you have a month, at least before he plans on being out, take that time, basically separate yourselves, prepare to move, get your thinks and your things together, find a place to live, prepare yourself, make it less traumatic for C by doing it as calmly and rationally as you can....
I don't think that there is anyone around who didn't think at one point or another that they could not make it out of the pit that they found themselves in, either a pit from being left, or from leaving or whatever. You can and you will, because you have no other choice! And its amazing the things we can do when we have no other choice!

ash, you can make it without him. just like i can make it without t. we are both strong and we don't need them. ok, it might feel like we do, but we don't. yeah, it's nice to have them around when they behave, but other than those few times, screw 'em.
you know your family..... ::) and face it, no matter what, nothing that you do is going to be good enough in their eyes. i deal with that on a daily godd@mned basis. you have to do what is best for you and for court. i am amazed at what you have done with her so far, i really am.
what if you come to my place temporarily? couple of days, a week maybe? just put some space between you and the situation?
