STBX jailed ChrisJane: What a weekend. My 20 year old son ran into my stbx Saturday. It didn't take long for the stbx (who was drunk) to start putting me down. My stbx grabbed my son (235 pounds) by the throat and threw him against the wall. While fighting my son ended up with a huge knot on his eyebrow. He filed charges against his stepdad. Everyone tried to say the blow to the eye was not from my stbx that my son must have hit it when he fell. Hmm, I had the same knot last year, you can see the finger imprints above the eye. The brother and mother pleaded with me to drop the charges. The stbx's girlfriend and daughter left me threatening messages and even showed up at my parents home to jump me.
I did nothing and still made out to be the one ruining his life.
This being his 2nd domestic charge in under 2 years he will most likely do jail time. Now I wait to see how this effects my divorce.
Re:STBX jailed picadilly: Sorry to hear about your troubles but I'm so glad your out of that abusive relationship. Those that abuse the ones they are supposed to love & care for make me so mad, again, I'm happy to hear your not there any more. Take time for yourself & be strong. I hope your son is ok, he's young & can bounce back from this.

Re:STBX jailed ChrisJane: Parents are suppose to protect their kids, having my son now defending me seems strange. He's a big boy and can take care of himself. Its ashame a man he loved as a real dad for 10 years did this to him.

Hugs to you and your son...I remember getting into it with my stepdad too when I wasn't little enough for him to pick on any more....It was amazing to look down at this short italian guy I outweighed by over 100 pounds and think, I used to take crap from him....and hear how he talked about my mom...uh uh..not this mamas boy..sorry...bad memories...going now...
