I was born a K, I was a K before him, still a K with him, and would be a K after he was long gone.
Why stay an H if I wasn't with him anymore? I didn't want to be tied to him for the rest of my life.

I'm a teacher and the kids shorten my last name anyway so I just felt comfortable keeping it...now though it is starting to get under my skin...but I'm just not the person I was anymore when I had my maiden name and now I'm just not the person I was when I was married....should I do like Prince and Madonna and just go with a first name? I'm in limbo!

Re: Stay w/ Married Last Name Or Go Back To Maiden? starzluv: when all is said and done i'm planning to keep my married name. me and the STBX have 3 kids together, and i always said my kids were never going to be confussed by something as small as a last name. i've had this last name for 7 years now and if i were to change back to my maiden name now i'd probably still sign my married name out of habit, so why bother changing it.
