Re:STBX jailed ChrisJane: Thanks. After talking to the court, my STBX was required to attend an anger management course. Two weeks later he was jailed for a DUI. Still hasn't learned and doesn't care.
Re:STBX jailed Lil Willow: You know what? I am so glad to hear about it when victims of domestic violence press charges and don't back down. That's a really hard thing to do! I commend you for doing that!

Re:STBX jailed ChrisJane: Whats sad is the court system in my county doesn't really seem to do anything with domestic violence cases though. They tell the accused to take one 2 hour anger management class and thats it. My STBX now has 2 domestic charges in less then 2 years. He has 2 dui's in 2 years and he only lost his license for 90 days and did 6 days in jail.
I hoped with this last domestic the court would force him into a substance abuse treatment or at least more then one class. I always thought the courts would give the victims protection orders but not in our case. I can see why people back down because when the person walks every time they fear they will come back again and do it again and they see the system doesn't care.
I've never owned a gun in my life or even had one in the house, but now I keep my dads shotgun next to my bed.
Guess in sense you marry for better or worse and divorce means nothing more. The fear and worriese of the worse are still there.
