Call from sister-in-law ostia: This is a small thing, but:
Yesterday my sister-in-law called me and invited me to spend Thanksgiving her and her husband and kids. She said she figured I'd probably be spending the holiday with my own family, but she wanted to make sure I wouldn't be alone (since my husband isn't around, obviously).
I was really pleased, because it was such a nice, supportive gesture, and also because I'm very fond of her and my nieces and nephews and hope to stay in touch with them, even though I'm no longer with my husband.
It's also nice that they are "on my side"--it turns out that my X hasn't been communicating with them, either (even though he lived with them for free all summer!!), so that makes me feels less singled out by him. He seems to be retreating from his old life in every way, not just from me, and that helps me take everything a little less personally. :)
Re:Call from sister-in-law EZ: hi Ostia
im glad to hear of your newfound support from your sister-inlaw it sounds like she is a very kind and understanding person. will you be accepting her offer, just wondering it does not sound like it would be akward if you did.
peace and love

Re:Call from sister-in-law ostia: Thanks, Safety and EZ!
I won't be accepting her offer, because I've already committed to spending the holiday with my parents, but all the same it was a very sweet gesture..... :)
