Re:How to approach someone TiredandScared: Like everyone else said, but I'll say it also. You just have to put all of "your" issues aside and just take to her. Just be you, don't try and be funny or anything your not, because it is so easy to see someone who is trying to hard. Take a deep breath, and just chat with her. The worst she can say is no she would rather not talk. Oh well, there are more women than men out there right now, so when all is said and done the numbers are in your favor.
So the question is are you thinking your at a point in everthing that is going on to be out on the hunt? Because if you have any major issues, it isn't fair to invlve others directly or indirectly if you can help it.
Remeber beyond everything don't lie, hide or cover up anything. Just be open (to a point) about everything thats going on so if you meet someone and down the road it turns into a relationship, you don't wreak it by a lie from the past/early days.

This could not be more true. I was recently at a party and met this girl. She was cute, single and new in town. We talked some, flirted a little and I was getting up the courage to get her number. Then another guy who was in the our circle of people suddenly asked for her number to "show her around sometime" :o Talk about beating me to the punch!
I'd go for it. If she rejects you, so what? It isn't like she is the only cute girl out there. And as I found out, there are plenty of guys who WILL ask her out if you don't.
