I think I screwed up finney5: Wow.. Have you heard of the phrase, when it rains, it pours. Or with regards to dating it's either feast or famine. Well, right now it's feast. And since I'm into Cliche's today, I've got one potential mr. right, and one mr. right-now.
The first guy was supposed to call me yesterday, and when he didn't, I accepted an offer to go out with MRN. I had fun.. but in the back of my mind I was wondering what PMR would think--although, we haven't defined the relationship so he's got no claim on me. All this has done is really confuse me as to what I want.
But on the plus side, I'm finding out that there are other guys out there (at least two that I know so far) that are totally unlike my ex. Real (nice) guys do exist. And that's good to know.
I feel like I should call PMR and see what's going on with him.. but I've always grown up with the idea that men are supposed to do the pursuing. But both the guys are telling me I'm supposed to do some of the calling. I don't want to call them if they're busy. I'm paranoid that I'll be bothering or pestering them, and I don't want that. I figure if they WANT to talk to me, then they'll call me. What are anyone else's feeling on this? I need some dating guidance.

You have to explore all of your possiblities.. just be careful..that you dont lose "MR" because of "MRN".. I dont see anything at all wrong with calling them! We are strong independent women right? ;D And if they say you are "bothering" them then they dont deserve your time now do they? Pick up the phone and take the initiative..you never know ..what could happen ;)

A good man will respect that you just wanted to say hi or make plans.
Try not to overanalyze it...thats how you make yourself crazy and end up leaving 7 or 8 messages on someones phone ala "Swingers" style.
Check out that movie. There is a scene in there where a character gets this girls number and calls, then keeps calling and calling to change things he said in previous messages, ends up talking about his past relationship and crying....
That scene will make you cringe but that movie is hilarious.

I mean, I'll ask if I'm bothering them--they say no, but they're nice guys OF COURSE they won't ADMIT that I'm bothering them.... (this is what goes on in my head) Ah well, just a personal hurdle to overcome. It is something that my therapist yelled at me about.. If a friend doesn't return my call I think it's something I did and that I'm bothering them--but according to my therapist my thoughts should be more along the lines of, wow they must be really busy and don't have time to call me, cause I'm a great person and fun to talk to. heh heh ::)
Sorry to spew, maybe I'll decide to call one of them today--but I'm getting over a cold so I think I'm going to take a night off and watch a movie (maybe 'Swingers' ;) ) and catch up on some much needed sleep.
