Re:Feelings of Losing it All leem03: Wow Robert that sounds really tough. I think what hurts the most, at least in my case, is the unknown. You don't know why, you don't understand what happened. And she is giving you no explanation & her family doesn't either. I feel for you because I really think the unknown is much than someone being honest with you and admitting what's wrong and how they feel. As I told my stbx, this isn't a high school relationship that you can just drop without reason. This is a marriage & something I thought both of us felt was sacred. I think that if she gives you any kind of explantion that will help. But if she chooses not to, hopefully you can get through this knowing you were strong & did what you thought was right. Hang in there. I know it's tough! I struggle everyday.
Re:Feelings of Losing it All constantine: what you are feeling is normal. as you can see, many of us have been through almost the same thing.
you gotta start over and rebuild yourself. 7.5 years with one company is a long time in todays economy. just 'roll with the blows' and think of all the opportunities instead of what you have lost.
joining golds gym will also help ;) good luck.
Re:Feelings of Losing it All JASPER: Well I say good riddance Robert what a coward to run off like that no reason no excuses your better off.
Get yourself into counseling to help with the pain.I know it seems fruitless now but you will recover from this.I can understand if she wasn't happy and told you so thats one thing but to up and just leave how childish.
Dont worry about the moving in with your parents thing it happens, sometimes we have to take a step backwards in order to move ahead.
Good luck and God bless
Re:Feelings of Losing it All heelblue: Robert - Everyone else here that has posted is exactly right on. Jasper's advice in saying good riddance is exactly what you should do. You can dig yourself out of this. There will be good days and bad day....good hours and bad hours. I am still going through all of that too and have asked repeatedly when it will end...
There will always be unanswered questions...God knows I have a ton of them!! But there is a lot of great advice on this board and it has helped me a lot.
I wish you the very best.
Re:Feelings of Losing it All brynne: So sorry you have had 2 major blows so close together. You have to believe you will pull thru, I get thru each day by focusing on the present & trying to keep my chin up. Don't try to think too far ahead. At least you have family that you can live with, family has been a huge support system for me. I can tell by your words that you are in a very dark place, but you must believe it will get better. If you feel depressed, perhaps you can see a family Dr.? Please post often to express your feelings & get the support & feedback from all of us here at Ojar !
Take Care,
Brynne
